We also welcomed the Annapolis English Country Dance Society for a visit, in their wonderful historical costumes.
What a fun and colourful opening weekend!

Magnolia Season - what a stellar year!
Magnolia season in the Gardens and around the community has been (and continues to be) pretty incredible. Thanks to the volunteers who had the foresight some 30 years ago to plant magnolias all around town to create a spring highlight season. Visitors and residents alike are enjoying the results!
Some early bloomers are finished, but the more colourful pinks and yellows are at their peak as we speak.
Here are a few of our current Historic Gardens stars!

And again, on a drier day!

The Gardens Shop
NEW in the Gardens Shop - Pietersma Tinwork!

We are very excited to introduce this new product line. Pietersma Tinworks, from Lancaster, Ontario, has been producing traditional pierced tin shades, Victorian Christmas tree tinsel and decorations for over 30 years. The flash of silvery tin is certainly eye catching in the shop.
The pierced shades have a variety of traditional motifs and are available in three sizes. They can all be used with candles, but the largest size comes with an electric light. The tin shades do not tarnish quickly and can be used outside, but they should be dried and stored indoors after use.
Traditional Victorian Tinsel and tin stars add an old-time charm to your Christmas tree. Light reflects beautifully off of the twists and angles.

Be sure to have a look during your next visit to the Historic Gardens.
The Gardens Shop is open 7 days a week for your convenience,
from 9am-5pm. Drop by soon!
And if you can't get here in person,
you can explore our online shop for gift ideas, and have items shipped.
